Rowing at Frankston High School has been established since 2005 and is open to all year levels.
Rowing training is held at the National Water Sports Centre at Carrum and training sessions intensify between September and April when students become involved in competition. There is normally one early morning session, Thursday’s after school and Saturday mornings. During winter, rowing is replaced by gym sessions.
The aim of the program is to give access to a sport that students would not normally be able to do. Students are encouraged to set their own targets and level of competition.
